About the Supernova Graduate Program

The Supernova Program is OKX’s flagship 3-year Career Accelerator designed to fast-track high-potential graduates into technical experts and future leaders. Focused on Product Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design, the program nurtures talent through hands-on experience, mentorship, and continuous learning.

As a Graduate Blockchain Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the OKX platform—used by millions of active users daily. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, from design to product to security teams, identifying user needs and rapidly shipping high-quality features using agile methodologies.

You’ll gain deep exposure to the full lifecycle of crypto platforms, including:

Your Role: Building the Backbone of DeFi

As part of our global engineering team, you’ll be at the heart of developing cutting-edge blockchain-powered products. Your responsibilities will include:

Design & Development

Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that support crypto-linked services. You’ll ensure solutions are optimized for performance and maintain architectural integrity across distributed environments.

Problem Solving at Scale

Tackle complex technical challenges in distributed systems, focusing on high availability and low-latency performance. You’ll optimize backend services to meet the demands of a fast-growing user base.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to transform concepts into production-ready features. Clear communication with peers and leadership will be key to delivering project milestones effectively.

Innovation & Research

Stay ahead of emerging trends in blockchain and cryptography. You’ll evaluate new technologies, prototype solutions quickly, and contribute to advancing our technical edge.

Best Practices & Documentation

What We’re Looking For

We value curiosity, technical depth, and a passion for decentralization. While formal education helps, we also welcome self-taught engineers who demonstrate strong capabilities.

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, Blockchain Technology, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent self-taught experience)

• Solid understanding of zero-knowledge proof algorithms, including but not limited to:

  • zkSNARK
  • zkSTARK
  • Plonk
  • Groth16
  • Halo2
• Proficiency in Java or Go, along with Solidity for smart contract development
• Hands-on experience or strong foundational knowledge of Ethereum and other major blockchain networks
• Genuine enthusiasm for blockchain technology and a proven ability to learn quickly
• Creative mindset with the ability to identify technical gaps and improve workflow efficiency

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with advanced cryptographic techniques such as:

  • Homomorphic encryption
  • Ring signatures
  • Threshold signatures
• Familiarity with major DeFi protocols like MakerDAO, Uniswap, Compound, or Synthetix
• Understanding of zero-knowledge circuit development using C++ or Rust
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
