Meet the Teams: SRE & Tech Governance
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
The SRE team ensures the resilience, scalability, and security of OKX’s IT infrastructure. In a high-stakes environment with millions of daily active users, your work will directly influence system uptime, incident response, and long-term architectural stability. You'll build automation tools, manage capacity planning, and design systems that can withstand global trading volumes.
Tech Governance
This team focuses on data security risk management across the organization. From identifying vulnerabilities to implementing enterprise-grade governance solutions, the Tech Governance team builds and maintains the frameworks that protect sensitive user data. Responsibilities include developing data classification systems, defining security policies, and operating internal data governance platforms.
Together, these teams form the backbone of OKX’s security-first approach — ensuring trust, compliance, and innovation go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate SRE/Security Engineer, you will:
- Design and maintain a data security platform that automates classification, categorization, and labeling of sensitive information.
- Develop algorithms for data discovery and classification across distributed systems.
- Integrate security platforms with existing infrastructure to enhance threat detection and response.
- Monitor system reliability, conduct capacity planning, and optimize cloud-based services.
- Build automation tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and incident management at scale.
- Perform security testing, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats by researching new attack vectors and defense mechanisms in the crypto ecosystem.
- Contribute to drafting data security policies and procedures aligned with global compliance standards.
What We’re Looking For
We seek driven graduates who combine technical excellence with a passion for innovation. Ideal candidates will have:

- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQLi, XSS), attack techniques, and defensive strategies.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, Python, or Golang.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with relational databases and backend development practices.
- A proactive mindset with strong analytical skills and a passion for solving complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Mandarin is an asset.
