As the Head of Monitoring, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of OKX’s Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program. This is a high-impact leadership role that requires strategic vision, technical depth, and cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with Compliance leaders, Legal, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams to embed compliance into the fabric of our operations—ensuring we stay ahead of regulatory changes and emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, risk-based monitoring and testing plan aligned with global regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Lead execution of monitoring activities across AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud prevention, KYC/CIP, transaction monitoring, and other compliance domains
- Oversee data collection and analysis, leveraging automation and advanced analytics to enhance detection capabilities
- Identify control deficiencies and drive remediation efforts in coordination with relevant stakeholders

Who You Are
We’re looking for a seasoned compliance professional with deep expertise in monitoring and testing frameworks within highly regulated environments—ideally within fintech, financial services, or digital assets.
Ideal Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management, with at least 5 years focused on monitoring and testing
- Proven track record of building or scaling compliance monitoring programs in complex, multinational organizations
- Strong understanding of AML, KYC, CFT, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring systems
- Experience working with regulators or undergoing regulatory examinations
- Familiarity with crypto asset regulations (FATF guidelines, VASP frameworks, etc.) is highly preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Tableau) and experience using AI/ML for compliance automation a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to executive audiences
